Alberta Open Farm Days

In Celebration of Alberta Open Farm Days, Fort Whoop Up and Coyote Flats Pioneer Village are partnering to celebrate our rural heritage.

On August 22nd, departing at noon, we will be offering a bus tour from the Fort to Coyote Flats at Picture Butte where tour participants will receive a tour of the period farm community, as well as a box lunch and produce gift basket.

South Alberta Horse Artillery

The South Alberta Horse Artillery is a group of military history enthusiasts operating as a field gun detachment of the Regiment of Canadian Artillery during the 1885 North West Rebellion. The group has a reproduction cannon approximating the size and appearance of the British 9-pounder Rifled Muzzle Loading Gun used at that time, together with a full-size limber permitting deployment of the equipment with a team of horses when circumstances permit. Alzheimer Society Alberta and Northwest Territories is hosting Denim & Diamonds, September 12, 5 p.m. at Fort Whoop Up.

An evening of western food, interactive fun and entertainment, including:

  • hay rides,
