Is today a good day to trade? That is the question that visitors to Fort Whoop-Up National Historic Site ask themselves as they visit the infamous whiskey trading post that led to the development of Southern Alberta as we know it. Through the period fort and interpretive galleries, the site interprets the whiskey trade, the Blackfoot and plains cultures and the beginnings of the N.W.M.P. follow in the footsteps of the past with a wide range of interactive activities that bring the trading post to life through the viewpoints of the people who lived it.
